Example: Often it is a challenge that different departments have to share laboratories and equipment such as hyperspectral cameras. The plugin concept of Perception STUDIO opens the possibility that every researcher only installs the plugins needed. For example a Perception ACQUIRE plugin is only installed at the computer connected to the hyperspectral camera while on office PC’s a Perception STUDIO with plugins to investigate hyperspectral cubes are installed.

Such a solution to investigate hyperspectral data off-line is the combination of the plugins Perception EXPLORE and Perception MODEL.

The EXPLORE plugin opens the possibility for an explorative investigation of the measurement what is mostly the first important step to understand the content and quality of hyperspectral data. Using the Perception MODEL plugin allows chemometric modelling and to develop new Chemical Color Imaging applications.

Using the Perception STUDIO and its plugins enable teams to work together on hyperspectral projects worldwide, to exchange their expertise as well as to present their findings in an understandable way.

Who is addressed?

		To start scientific work on hyperspectral data it is important to get a good understanding of the content and quality of measurements. But also the provided possibilities of investigating a data cube in a quick and intuitive way, support researchers and scientists to find a starting point for their scientific work.
		When customers ask for a new application on an existing machine mostly some test material is put to a machine and data are acquired. This data do not need to be investigated in the machine hall but instead an application engineer investigates them in the office. Also data acquired and transferred by a service engineer are evaluated by developers in the lab or office.
		Machine builders often contract freelancers supporting them with the development of new applications. Perception STUDIO allows the application engineer to make a first statement on an application very quick. Further application engineers are now more flexible because they can ask the machine builder to do the measurement by himself and send the data via internet.
